# Dashboard crate contract

Keep this crate read-only with respect to observed programs.

- It may ingest telemetry frames.
- It may retain bounded raw-frame and view state for HTML/API rendering.
- It may host universal swactor runtime views.
- It must not send control signals to observed runtimes.
- It must not require changes outside `crates/dashboard` for dashboard-only work.

Main built-in view: the fused control plane at `/` and `/view/fleet` (node cards with machine + actor rollup, per-node output tail and roster, per-actor dossier via `/api/view/fleet/detail`), backed by `host.*`, `proc.<label>.*`, `runtime.stats`, and sequenced `runtime.actors` census/vital/activity frames when present. It is a pure frame consumer, tolerant of publisher shape. Message history is folded view-side from `messages_processed` totals and deltas. The unified navbar is injected server-side from the view and application plugin-page registries; pages opt in with a `<!--swactor:nav-->` placeholder. Plugin routers remain application-owned composition inputs and must not add dashboard-owned control state.

feat: tui, agent interface, stats hook (#29) Runtime dashboard now features a TUI option and an interface for LLM tool use. Removed some bloat from stats collecting and replaced with a hook function to dump runtime stats into. refactor: `datastream` crate is now `telemetry` The crate is the per-node metrics/logging pipe with a universal subscriber endpoint, but "datastream" kept getting misread as a general messaging plane. Rename crate, module paths, and public API (`DatastreamEndpoint` → `TelemetryEndpoint`, etc.) so misuse is visible on sight. Renamed contracts (all in-repo producers/consumers migrated): - env vars `MYELIN_DATASTREAM_` → `MYELIN_TELEMETRY_` - artifact `datastream.ndjson` → `telemetry.ndjson` - actor names `telemetry-publisher` / `telemetry-sink` - wire ALPN `swactor/telemetry/0` - `DATASTREAM_SPEC.md` → `TELEMETRY_SPEC.md` Also fixes two latent test breaks: `process` and `iroh-driver` tests imported `DatastreamEvent` from the crate root, which was never re-exported; they now use the observer path `telemetry::frame::`. 2026-08-15 08:17:48 +00:00			`- It may ingest telemetry frames.`

feat(telemetry): add sequenced runtime dashboard signals Rate-limit actor census and activity telemetry while preserving immediate lifecycle transitions. Route managed-process output into Fleet node tails, bound explorer retention, aggregate SWIM probes, and make sampler health transition-based.
